I was floored when I saw this report from John Oliver's Last Week Tonight on PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
CNN has reported that exposure to PFAS can result in liver damage, thyroid disease, decreased fertility, high cholesterol, obesity, hormone suppression, and cancer. It gets better. These are "Forever chemicals." Check out this report.
Check out the Hydroviv it installs in 15 minutes and is much better than any "pitcher" type filter. PFAS and chromium 6 are known to cause cancer but are not regulated by EPA (say it with me WTF?) and Hydroviv will remove those from your water.
